MyPicture

Hi! I'm Sarah. I live in a warm, friendly Texas suburb with my husband, two daughters, one son, two dogs, one cat, and a totally unpersonable goldfish. I'm a graduate of Stanford University with over 17 years’ experience in marketing writing and editing, corporate journalism, and creative strategizing for a wide range of organizations, including high-tech companies and community nonprofits. I'm also a skilled web and graphic designer, focusing on custom WordPress development—but my number one priority is always my family. In my “free” time (rare as it is), I volunteer as President for the Southlake Women’s Club and work on publicity and web site for its annual art festival, Art in the Square. I've also served for four seasons as a local coach for the Girls on the Run organization, I've been on the PTO board, and I'm excited about any philanthropic or volunteer opportunity that allows me to help women and children. Right now, most of my time is spent running my small family marcom company, Full Cycle Creative, whose web site is sadly in perpetual development because I'm always busy on other projects.

Who’s that lady?

Excuse me, but I think you’ve confused me with someone else. Everyone keeps telling me that my oldest daughter is about to turn 11 years old, but you see, that can’t be possible. She is still two. I am still 29. I’m a carefree mom—not this bizarre worker bee you’re pointing at. THAT woman is… read more

Part of Me

I know this is the time of year we are all making (or maybe already breaking?) resolutions. Resolutions about what we want to do, who we want to be, what we want to change. It’s interesting how we go about this, often times making big decisions or plans, spending lots of money, working to accomplish… read more

Snooping, Swelling, and the Flu

I have a history of almost ruining Christmas. I never mean to do it, and sometimes it’s not even my fault, but I have this history nonetheless. First, there was the time when I was about 11, when I’d asked my parents for a very fancy Casio keyboard—the kind with the drum beats and the… read more
